New Drug Usage Report:
If you want to know the most popular drugs based on number of scripts dispensed, you can do so by running ‘Drug Usage Report’ and click on the column ‘No. of Scripts’ to sort the number of scripts in descending order. This report is particularly helpful for setting up robots, or laying out your dispensary if you wish to have a ‘high usage’ section.
You can search ‘Drug Usage’ in the Search Box on the Home Screen, or find it from the Home Screen by going to Main Menu > Reports > Drug Reports > Drug Usage.
New Customer Sales Report:
The Customer Sales report breaks down your sales by customer, allows you to see the sales history of a particular customer, or you can remove this filter and break sales down line by line, and track each item, its Real Cost, GP ($) and GP%. This is a good report to track Club Sales, or to see where GP% is affected. You can separate the report into just Shop items, just Script items, or both.
You can search ‘Customer Sales Report’ in the Search Box on the Home Screen or find it from the Home Screen by going to Main Menu > Clubs > Customer Sales Report.
More options in the Claims LBL report:
When you are going through your Line By Line report it will be possible to ‘Resubmit Original Script Not Yet Paid’ or ‘Cancel Payment and Price Again on Original’. This will add the initial dispensing into the next claim, and flag it with your selection.
Highlight the script you wish to edit in the LBL report, , then right click to bring up the menu in the screenshot to the right, and you can select either option.
Adding Annotations and Non-Clinical notes:
In the Script screen, you will be able to add both Annotations and Non-Clinical notes, by going up to Edit > Add Annotation Note/Add Non-Clinical Note.
- Annotation notes will be saved in RxOne, and in the future will be sent up to the NZePS server and made available to auditors to assist them in their auditing processes. e.g. brand change, dose reduction.
- Non-Clinical notes are not relevant outside of your pharmacy so remain on your computer and are not sent anywhere e.g. medicine in fridge, owe on the shelf.
Both types of notes can be found under the Script Audit tab, for future reference, and the audit tab will be highlighted if a new note has been added. You can check out the video on Annotations and Non-Clinical Notes here.
Staff Groups and Staff Security
Due to auditing requirements, and to comply with the minimum security requirements set by the NZePS, staff need to be allocated into appropriate staff groups. This ensures that access to certain functions and information is restricted within their scope of practice, i.e. only dispensary staff have access to private health information.
RxOne will also be introducing the use of passwords in line with NZePS requirements to ensure that private health information is adequately protected, and that sufficient logon audits can be taken to report which staff member has accessed what information at what stage in the dispensing process.
This function will be utilised with the introduction of paperless prescriptions to track the virtual basket system, and to log each step in the dispensing process with the appropriate staff member’s name. Staff need to log in with passwords. The system will lock RxOne after a set period of time, at which time the staff member needs to log in again.
RxOne suggests the use of barcodes to speed up the logon process. This means staff don’t need to remember multiple passwords. Barcode cards are available from Healthsoft. Please contact [email protected] if you would like place an order for barcode cards.
